Well with this increasing count of vehicles one day it would be much more convenient to travel by air than by roads. Until now, the idea sounds to be impractical but Eclipse Aviation a company run by a former Microsoft executive and backed by Bill Gates has unveiled an inexpensive business aircraft known as microjet.
This small and light air craft has two engines, five or six passenger seats, automated cockpits and cost half as much as the most inexpensive business jet now in service. In addition, this plane requires a small runway of just 3,000 feet. The plane has a good and comfortable interior and as simple control mechanism. All these features make this aircraft fit to be used as a private aircraft and good for air-taxi services to ferry passengers.
Eclipse president Vern Raburn on Thursday handed keys to the first customer-ordered Eclipse 500 to Jet-Alliance chairman Randall Sanada and David Crowe, an owner-pilot who purchased a share of the aircraft. The company has Microsoft and Cessna Aircraft Co. as its investors and has received Federal Aviation Administration certification for the jets.
The company hopes to deliver 500 jets this year for sale. This is a good deal.
